I use Doterra Oils on me and in my business in diffusers to help calm the grooming environment. "Derived from unique star-shaped flowers, Ylang Ylang is often used in making perfumes and in aromatherapy."  "Many essential oils, such as eucalyptus oil, tea tree oil, cinnamon, citrus, pennyroyal, peppermint, pine, sweet birch, wintergreen, and ylang ylang are toxic to pets"
Some oils are sensitive to humans and pets. Please research the oils you use around your pets.
