| My Favorite Groomer Founded I founded My Favorite Groomer because of the excitement, joy, and love I have for pets. I wanted to provide service different in my own personal way. I love what I do and you can tell! My goal is for pet parents to feel confident that their pet is in caring and reliable hands. My services are MUCH different than those of any other salon I have seen. I offer 1-hour grooms (based on size) with pick up 30 minutes after completion. This eliminates the hardship of your pet being caged for hours. I do not cage dry pets. Meaning, I do not put a cage dryer hooked to the front of the pets cage while I groom other pets. Sometimes folks use several cage driers and this could devastate and harm a pet. Therefore if your pet is extremely aggressive with the blow dryer we will not force them to suffer like this. I believe a damp pet is better than a traumatized one. You'll love being spoiled here (I like surprises too you know and appreciate tips). As part of my business practice, I discuss any findings on your pet with you before you leave and make any suggestions in regards to the health of your pet to keep you informed (during and after the groom). I truly love what I do and I want to be the one to share with you anything that I think might go unnoticed with your family pet. "The joy of being a part of you and your pets lives is unexplainable" Dede's Short Personal Biography I grew up in a United States Air Force (USAF) family and have lived in all parts of the world from Japan to California. I enlisted in the USAF right out of High School. It also took me to places around the world like Germany and Guam. After I got out of the USAF I traveled some more and found my way right here to Fort Worth, TX. With the move to Texas I found my true passion was working with pets. I worked for a couple different pet industry employers when I finally decided to start my own pet grooming business. I graduated college with a Bachelor's in International Business. I have worked in Government positions and many jobs in the service industry. I started the grooming business in June 2005 and in September 2008 I decided that my happiness in working with pets outweighed all other jobs I had at the time and I then decided to go full time with my grooming business. I am still inactive with the USAFR. Other joys I have in life are fundraising, contributing to pet rescue groups, networking, traveling, dancing, writing, motorcycling, fishing, spending time with friends, and enjoying the little time I have left with my family and pets. | Some things I believe in: I am a huge recycler and try to do my part in our worlds upkeep. I try my hardest to buy Made in USA products. I can't always get what we need, but I do try to notice. I support our community and donate free services to rescue groups and try to support as many fund raisers as I can. I offer free grooms to pets that are in severe need for help to rescue groups that work with pets regularly. Occasionally I give those free grooms to clients who countlessly pick up strays. We are all in it together and we need each other. I have recently decided to make my car a "No Phone Zone" on account of Oprah Winfrey. I also am trying my best to move away from plastics since they have created an island in our Pacific Ocean. I am conscious about the food us humans are raising and have decided to be as organic as I can. All of these things are complicated but we have to try to do our best.
